While children in Gaza are buried beneath rubble and families are torn apart by Israeli aggression, the Saudi regime opens the gates of Islam’s second holiest city to a citizen of the very state responsible for this bloodshed.

The Prophet (PBUH) himself declared it a sanctuary, and generations of Muslims have honored that boundary. The presence of a non-Muslim in this space, let alone someone from the apartheid regime of Israel, is not only a violation of tradition—it’s a desecration of a place woven into the soul of every Muslim.

 

Saudi Arabia, long claiming the title of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, is now eroding that trust. This isn’t an isolated incident—it’s part of a clear trajectory: quiet normalization with Israel, tech collaborations, soft diplomacy, and now, granting spiritual access where it absolutely does not belong. What message does this send to the global Ummah? That Islamic sanctities are for sale, so long as political interests are served?

 

While Muslims around the world boycott Israeli products, protest for Palestine, and mourn the genocide in Gaza, Saudi authorities have chosen to welcome normalization under the guise of “openness.” But Medina is not a tourist attraction. It is a city of tears, prayer, sacrifice, and love. It is not meant for content creators seeking views—it is for the faithful who whisper salaam to the Prophet (PBUH) with trembling hearts.
