Gaza City, Gaza – Israeli warplanes have completely demolished the 15-story Al-Soussi Tower, one of Gaza’s largest residential high-rises. The strike reduced the building to rubble within seconds, leaving hundreds of families homeless and marking another chapter in Israel’s relentless campaign against Gaza’s civilian population.
Residents were given only minutes to evacuate. Witnesses described scenes of panic as children, women, and the elderly scrambled to escape. In a display widely criticized as callous, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz shared a video of the destruction online, captioning it simply: “We continue.”
For Gazans, Al-Soussi Tower is not an isolated target but part of a systematic assault. High-rise buildings have repeatedly been struck under the pretext of targeting Hamas, while civilians bear the brunt, living under 17 years of siege and blockade. Human rights groups have condemned the strike as collective punishment, a violation of international humanitarian law, and a blatant disregard for human life.
