As Ramadan nears, Israel is unleashing a new wave of oppression, imposing “unprecedented repressive policies” in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank. In just one night, at least 50 Palestinians were arrested, including students taken from their school in Hebron. Israeli forces also issued new evacuation orders for Nur Shams camp, giving families just three hours to flee before demolishing their homes. Since October 2023, over 14,500 Palestinians have been arrested in the West Bank alone, exposing Israel’s brutal military dictatorship disguised as a democracy.
Israel’s hypocrisy couldn’t be clearer. It claims to uphold human rights while committing war crimes daily—raiding homes, killing civilians, and erasing entire communities. The same state that cries about antisemitism and demands protection for its own people has no problem executing a full-scale crackdown on Palestinians. Even the UN warns that the West Bank has turned into a battlefield, yet Israel still pretends to be the victim.
Instead of allowing Palestinians to observe Ramadan in peace, Israel is escalating its attacks, killing 62 people in a month and displacing 40,000 others. It preaches about security while denying an entire population the right to live. The world must wake up—Israel isn’t defending itself, it’s waging a genocide under the guise of self-defense.
