In a troubling escalation of violence, a group of Israeli occupation settlers has vandalized and set fire to a mosque in the occupied West Bank village of Jaljulia, located north of Ramallah.

The attack occurred during the pre-dawn hours when local residents noticed smoke and flames coming from the house of worship. Villagers rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze, managing to contain the fire before it could destroy the entire structure. Despite their swift efforts, the first floor of the building suffered extensive burn and smoke damage, with windows shattered and the interior blackened by the fire.

Before fleeing the scene, the attackers scrawled racist and inciting slogans in Hebrew across the exterior walls of the mosque.

Local leadership and religious authorities have strongly condemned the arson, calling it a blatant assault on Palestinian religious sanctity and part of a systematic campaign of intimidation by extremist settlers in the region. This latest incident comes amid a sharp spike in settler-led violence targeting Palestinian communities, homes, and agricultural lands across the occupied West Bank.
