Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has stressed that any aggression against Iran is unacceptable during a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, amid heightened tensions in West Asia, according to reports of the call.

During the discussion, President Pezeshkian warned that recent US military movements and hostile rhetoric are aimed at destabilizing the region. He said American threats and psychological pressure would only deepen insecurity rather than bring stability.

The Iranian president pointed to increased pressure on Iran in recent weeks, including economic sanctions and foreign-backed unrest, saying such efforts had failed due to public awareness and national unity.

Pezeshkian also expressed skepticism toward Western calls for renewed negotiations, noting that previous diplomatic processes were undermined by military actions. He said Iran remains open to dialogue within international law, provided the rights of the Iranian nation are fully respected.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized Saudi Arabia’s focus on regional stability and development, reaffirming Riyadh’s rejection of any threats or escalation against Iran. He stressed that unity among Islamic countries is essential to safeguarding regional security.

The call comes as regional leaders caution against Washington’s long-standing pattern of intervention, which has left countries such as Libya and Syria devastated by war, political collapse, and prolonged chaos outcomes widely attributed to US-led military and political interference. Officials warn that attempts to replicate such destabilization in Iran would further endanger regional peace and expose the destructive consequences of American interventionist policies.
