White House admits leaking attack plans on Yemeni Capital to a American journalist.

In what can only be described as a staggering display of incompetence, the White House has admitted to a shocking security breach that saw a US journalist accidentally included in a classified group chat discussing planned strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen. The revelation, which exposes a glaring lapse in national security, raises serious concerns about the recklessness of the Biden administration’s handling of sensitive military intelligence.

The blunder was brought to light by The Atlantic magazine’s editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, who detailed the fiasco in a personal essay. According to Goldberg, he was inadvertently added to a Signal group chat where high-ranking Trump administration officials, including US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Vice President JD Vance, were openly discussing the highly confidential military operation.

“I knew two hours before the first bombs exploded that the attack might be coming,” Goldberg revealed. “Pete Hegseth had texted me the war plan at 11:44 a.m. The plan included precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.”

This revelation is not just embarrassing—it is a damning indictment of the administration’s reckless disregard for national security. The fact that classified war plans were casually exchanged over an encrypted messaging platform, with no apparent safeguards in place, is an egregious violation of intelligence protocols.

In response to the fiasco, National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes weakly attempted to downplay the situation, stating, “The message thread that was reported appears to be authentic, and we are reviewing how an inadvertent number was added to the chain.” This feeble excuse does little to address the gravity of the situation, which has now raised alarms over the administration’s ability to handle sensitive intelligence.

Goldberg himself pointed out the disturbing implications of the breach, noting that the dissemination of such confidential military plans in this manner “may have violated several provisions of the Espionage Act.” If a seasoned journalist was accidentally given access to this level of classified information, one can only imagine the potential for foreign adversaries to exploit such incompetence.

The political fallout has been swift and severe. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer lambasted the administration, calling it “one of the most stunning breaches of military intelligence I have read about in a very, very long time.” He further demanded an immediate and thorough investigation, stating, “This debacle requires a full investigation into how this happened.

It is beyond comprehension that such a blunder could occur at the highest levels of government, particularly in a time of heightened geopolitical tensions. This catastrophic misstep not only jeopardized national security but also undermined confidence in the administration’s ability to safeguard classified information. The Biden administration must be held accountable for this reckless breach, and those responsible must face serious consequences. Anything less would be an insult to the integrity of national security and a dereliction of duty of the highest order.
