Yemeni Resistance AnsarAllah have captured the houses of various key figures of the U.S-Saudi backed government during their latest advance in central Yemen, in a development that marks a significant shift on the ground.

According to sources, AnsarAllah seized control of several high-profile residences belonging to senior officials, military commanders, and tribal leaders affiliated with the administration as they pushed into new areas. Among the most significant properties captured is the house of Yemen’s President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, in Taizz Governorate. AnsarAllah forces have also captured the residence of Sultan al-Barakani, the speaker of parliament.

The houses, located in recently captured districts, were reportedly used as command centers and logistical hubs for government forces before being overrun.

The captures come amid a rapid operation by the resistance that has seen them take control of large part of territory and critical supply routes. Many of the key figures whose houses were captured are said to have fled to Aden or to Saudi Arabia as forces closed in.

Footage circulated by Yemeni media shows AnsarAllah fighters inside large compounds and villas previously owned by members of the government, with weapons, documents, and military equipment left behind. Residents in the areas said the officials had long used the properties to assert control over local populations.

Analysts say the development shows the growing gap between the government and the situation on the ground. The capture of the houses of President Al-Alimi and Speaker Al-Barakani points to the weakening grip of the government, as AnsarAllah continues to expand its control in the north and advance toward key cities like Taiz and Marib.
