Israel has once again violated the ceasefire by launching an aggressive air strike deep inside Beirut’s Dahiyeh district, killing senior Hezbollah commander Haytham Ali Tabatabai along with several others. The attack, carried out inside a densely populated civilian area, has been condemned as yet another act of state terrorism aimed at provoking conflict and expanding Israeli influence across the region.

Hezbollah confirmed the assassination, calling it a treacherous assault orchestrated during a ceasefire Israel claims to uphold. Lebanese officials reported dozens injured and widespread destruction as two missiles struck the residential building, marking one of the most dangerous escalations since last year’s truce.

Israel openly celebrated the killing, reinforcing the reality that its ceasefire commitments mean little when weighed against its military ambitions. The strike fits into a familiar pattern in which Tel Aviv conducts targeted killings, demolitions, and cross-border attacks under the guise of “security,” while systematically undermining stability in the region.

Lebanese political figures warned that the strike crossed a red line, accusing Israel of deliberately pushing the region toward a new war. For many, this assassination reflects an ongoing Zionist strategy: destabilize neighboring countries, eliminate resistance figures, and maintain dominance through force even during periods labeled as peace.

As Lebanon struggles with economic collapse and political paralysis, Israel’s attack serves as a reminder that its military aggression and terrorism continues unchecked, threatening to ignite yet another cycle of violence while the world looks away.
