Sanaa-based Yemen TV has released previously unpublished confessions by Abdul Muin Azzan, identified as an agent working for U.S and Israeli occupation intelligence agencies. The footage, broadcast for the first time, is said to reveal details of an Israeli plot targeting Islam’s holiest sites and the strategic Red Sea corridor.
According to the confessions aired by the channel, Azzan admitted to holding a meeting with an Israeli occupation intelligence officer to discuss a plot targeting the Two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina. Yemen TV presented the meeting as part of a broader intelligence operation aimed at destabilizing the region and undermining Yemen’s standing in the Muslim world.
The channel claimed that such an attack was intended to be followed by widespread incitement campaigns against Yemen among Arab and Muslim communities, shifting blame onto Sanaa and fueling sectarian and political tensions across the region.
A second element of the plan involved the Red Sea. According to Azzan’s confessions, the plot included efforts to place the Red Sea under international security arrangements at the instigation of the Israeli occupation regime. Yemen TV portrayed this as an attempt to internationalize control over the vital waterway and strip Yemen of its strategic leverage.
Yemen TV said the disclosures expose what it described as the true nature of the plots that the Israeli enemy seeks to carry out in pursuit of its objectives against Muslim holy sites. The channel framed the confessions as evidence of a long-running campaign against Yemen and the wider Islamic world.
The broadcast did not include independent verification of Azzan’s claims, and no response from Israeli or U.S officials was included in the report. Yemen TV presented the footage as part of its ongoing coverage of foreign intelligence operations inside Yemen.
