More than 10 million people are estimated to participate in the funeral of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, with millions expected to gather alongside delegations from nearly 100 countries. Political leaders, religious scholars, tribal representatives, and public figures have continued arriving to attend the funeral ceremonies, making it one of the largest anticipated public gatherings in the country’s history.

‎The funeral comes at a pivotal moment for the region following months of heightened tensions and conflict involving Iran and several regional actors. Iranian officials and affiliated organizations have described the ceremonies as a historic occasion, with supporters expected to travel from across Iran and neighboring countries to pay their respects.

According to reports, delegations from around 100 countries are continuing to arrive in Tehran, including representatives from Iraq, Syria, Türkiye, Russia, China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia, and several countries across Latin America. Iraqi parliamentary officials, tribal leaders, and representatives of the Popular Mobilization Forces are also expected to participate, while Iraqi tribes have publicly called for large-scale attendance at mourning ceremonies in Najaf and Karbala.

‎The anticipated turnout is expected to carry significant regional and political symbolism. Analysts note that the presence of numerous international delegations reflects Iran’s diplomatic and ideological ties with a range of governments, political movements, and religious organizations, while also highlighting the broader regional significance of the funeral.

‎Iranian authorities are expected to implement extensive security and logistical measures to accommodate the anticipated crowds. Managing transportation, public safety, medical services, and crowd control for an event of this scale is likely to require one of the largest security and organizational operations in recent years.

‎Regional political figures, religious scholars, and tribal leaders have issued statements encouraging participation in the ceremonies. Iraqi tribal leaders have described attendance as an expression of solidarity and respect, while delegations from multiple countries continue arriving in Tehran ahead of the funeral.

‎As preparations continue, attention remains focused on the funeral ceremonies and the expected public turnout. If attendance reaches the estimated figures reported by organizers and affiliated sources, the event would rank among the largest funeral gatherings in modern history, underscoring its significance both within Iran and across the wider region.
