The Muslim world is living through one of the darkest cycles of its modern history. Gaza is being bombed into dust, the West Bank is being colonized inch by inch, Syrian airports are under weekly Israeli fire, and Lebanese towns are buried beneath airstrikes. Yet instead of a united Islamic response, a far quieter battlefield has been unfolding, one that carries deeper betrayal than any military assault.

In private rooms lit by chandeliers, far from the smoke of Gaza’s shattered hospitals, Saudi Arabia has quietly resumed its path toward normalization with Israel. Washington is mediating, Israeli officials are leaking details proudly, and economic committees between Tel Aviv and Riyadh are drafting early frameworks.

And the question rises like a wound in the soul:
How can normalization return while a genocide is still underway?

This is not diplomacy. This is the rewriting of history in real time, a decision that could seal the fate of Palestine for generations.

A Betrayal Written in the Footsteps of the Great Game

For over a century, the Arab world has been a chessboard for global empires. Every betrayal we witness today has roots in a long, painful pattern:

    • 1916: The Sykes–Picot betrayal, where Europeans drew artificial borders that still fracture the Ummah.
    • 1920–1948: Zionist alliances with Western powers, paving the way for Palestine’s dispossession.
    • 1979: Egypt breaks Arab ranks, signing the Camp David Accords and isolating Gaza.
    • 2020: UAE, Bahrain, Morocco normalize, claiming “economic benefit” while Palestinians endured the cost.

Saudi Arabia is now entering the same “Great Game,” but with stakes higher than ever. This isn’t just another Arab state normalizing. This is the heart of the Muslim world, the custodian of the Haramain, stepping into the same trap.

The psychological impact alone is devastating:
If the land of Makkah and Madinah can normalize with an occupying power, what hope is left for the oppressed?

The Timing Reveals the True Intent

Israel’s two-year assault on Gaza has killed more than 70,000 Palestinians. The West Bank has seen over 1,000 killed and 20,000 arrested. International courts have declared Israel’s occupation and settlements illegal.

Yet instead of pressure, Israel is being gifted with normalization during a genocide.

This timing is not a coincidence. It is a strategy.

Israel knows it is losing the global narrative.
It knows its atrocities are now being compared to historic crimes.
It knows its legitimacy is collapsing everywhere except Washington.

So Tel Aviv needs one thing:
    Arab political cover.

And that is exactly what Saudi normalization provides, even silently.

The Psychology of Normalisation: Turning Oppression Into Policy

Saudi Arabia’s public statements still mention “Palestinian rights” and “a viable state.” But the quiet resumption of talks sends a louder message to the Muslim street:
“It doesn’t matter how much you bleed. We will still deal with your oppressor.”

This is psychological warfare, not only against Palestinians, but against the entire Ummah.
    It plants the belief that:

    • Resistance is pointless
    • Unity is impossible
    • Power is permanently in the hands of the unjust
    • Economic interests override moral responsibility

Israel knows that physical occupation destroys land,
    But normalization destroys hope.
One can rebuild cities, but how do you rebuild a broken collective psyche?

A Deal That Rewards the Oppressor

Analysts confirm that the U.S. is pushing Riyadh to accept an agreement where:

    • Israel gets political recognition
    • Saudi Arabia gets U.S. weapons
    • Palestinians get… “promises.”

    This mirrors Israel’s entire history:
take land, take advantage, offer nothing.

    And what makes it worse?
Every step toward normalization occurs after fresh Israeli crimes:

    • After Gaza massacres → normalization talks
    • After West Bank demolitions → normalization leaks
    • After Syrian strikes → Gulf-Israel intelligence meetings
    • After Lebanon bombings → U.S.-Saudi-Israel coordination

The Ummah sees the pattern clearly:
Israel kills. Arab regimes cooperate. The cycle repeats.

The Custodians of the Holy Sites Cannot Claim Ignorance

No government controlling Makkah and Madinah can pretend neutrality.
The guardianship of the Haramain is a moral responsibility, not a geopolitical asset.

    When Saudi normalization resumes, it does not simply reshape diplomacy;
It reshapes the identity of leadership in the Muslim world.

For decades, Saudi Arabia symbolized Islamic legitimacy.
Now it risks becoming the biggest pillar of Israel’s political survival in the region.

This is the kind of betrayal the Qur’an warned against when describing those who assist oppressors at the expense of truth and justice.

    The Palestinian Street Sees Everything

While Arab regimes negotiate, the Muslim street from Casablanca to Karachi sees something else:

    • The Saudis speak of “stability,” while Palestinians bury children.
    • The UAE talks of “innovation,” while Gaza hospitals collapse.
    • Bahrain insists on “strategic alliances,” while settlers burn homes in the West Bank.
    • Egypt demands “sovereignty,” while Rafah remains choked.

The contrast between rulers and the ruled has never been more brutal.
Normalization is not just geopolitics; it is spiritual disorientation for the Ummah.

Israel’s Grand Strategy: Annexation Through Arab Silence

    Israel’s military doctrine is simple:

    • Crush Gaza
    • Colonize the West Bank
    • Neutralize Lebanon
    • Cut Iranian influence
    • Secure Arab recognition
    • Declare a Greater Israel in practice, if not in name

Saudi normalization is the door to step 5, the final shield Israel needs to rewrite the Middle East map.

    Once Riyadh normalizes, Israel gains:

    • Uncontested regional legitimacy
    • Access to Gulf markets
    • Protection from OIC pressure
    • Religious normalization in Muslim consciousness
    • Immunity from war crimes tribunals

This is why Washington is pushing so aggressively.
And this is why Tel Aviv celebrates every leak of new progress.

The Ummah Must Understand the Moment

This is not about one country.
This is about the direction of the entire Muslim world.

If normalization becomes the new Middle Eastern “normal,” then:

    • Israeli expansion becomes permanent
    • Palestinian liberation becomes symbolic
    • Ummah unity becomes impossible
    • Western geopolitical dominance becomes unbreakable

This is the true “Great Game” of our era, not oil, not trade routes, not regional rivalry.
It is the battle for the moral and psychological heart of the Muslim world.

Conclusion: The Backstab That Could Shape a Century

History will record this era with brutal clarity:

    Gaza burned.
    The West Bank was annexed.
Children died in hospitals without medicine.
    International law collapsed.
And instead of resisting, some Arab regimes chose to shake hands with the occupier.

Saudi–Israel normalization, if finalized, will not be a diplomatic event.
It will be a turning point, the moment Arab leadership abandoned the very people whose cause defined a century of struggle.

But history has a pattern the powerful always forget:
The rulers may normalize, but the people never will.
