US President Donald Trump has issued a military threat against Iran, warning of a devastating response if Tehran attempts to assassinate him. In a post published on his Truth Social platform today, Trump revealed that standing military orders have already been issued to counter any potential attack against his life.
The warning follows recent reports that Israeli intelligence shared information with Washington alleging a new and specific Iranian plot targeting Trump. US media outlets, including CNN and The Wall Street Journal, reported that the information was presented as a fresh threat, though no official evidence supporting these claims has been made public.
Detailing the scale of the authorized response in his post, Trump declared: “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands of more to immediately follow, should the Iranian Government act on its threat… Orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing, and able, for a one year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran.” He added that the massive response would be triggered if Iran acts on any attempt to target him.
Trump’s comments come amid heightened regional tensions following recent US strikes on Iranian territory and Iran’s retaliatory attacks on US military installations across the Gulf. The exchange of military actions has significantly increased fears of a broader conflict.
Despite repeated claims by US officials over the years that Iran has sought to target Trump, no public evidence has been released by US authorities to substantiate the alleged assassination plots. Iran has consistently denied the accusations, describing them as politically motivated.
The latest remarks are expected to further inflame already strained relations between Washington and Tehran, adding another layer of tension to an increasingly volatile security environment.
