The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has issued an official statement addressing the escalating tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, urging both sides to immediately exercise restraint and prevent further bloodshed. The movement said it has been closely monitoring the situation with deep concern and warned that continued military confrontation between two Muslim nations risks serious consequences at a time when unity is critically needed across the region.
In its statement, Hamas called on leaders in both countries to engage in dialogue and diplomacy, stressing that armed conflict between Muslim states contradicts the principles of Islamic brotherhood and solidarity. The movement emphasized that the bonds between the two peoples, rooted in shared faith, religion, and longstanding historical ties, are far stronger than any temporary political or security dispute.
Hamas noted that the ongoing clashes come at a moment when the Muslim world faces extraordinary challenges, particularly the continued devastation in Gaza. It stated that internal divisions and military escalation between Muslim countries weaken collective strength and divert attention from broader regional crises. The movement urged both Islamabad and Kabul to prioritize the protection of human life and prevent further escalation.
The statement further stressed that preserving unity within the Ummah is essential as regional tensions intensify. Hamas called for constructive dialogue, reconciliation, and a commitment to stability, warning that continued confrontation would only deepen instability and serve no beneficial purpose for either nation.
As fighting continues along the border, Hamas reaffirmed that peace, restraint, and solidarity must take precedence over conflict, urging both sides to act responsibly and safeguard the higher interests of their people and the wider Muslim world.
