The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that their naval units successfully targeted the Israeli oil tanker SCARLET RAY in the northern Red Sea with a ballistic missile, confirming a direct hit. The strike was declared part of Yemen’s continued military operations in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Israel, emboldened by U.S. backing, continues to spill innocent blood across Yemen and Palestine, leaving a trail of destruction and grief.

Since Israel’s escalation of violence in Gaza, Yemen has positioned itself as a frontline supporter of the Palestinian cause. The Yemeni Armed Forces have consistently targeted Israeli-linked vessels in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea, aiming to disrupt Israel’s maritime supply lines. These operations are framed as direct retaliation against Israel’s siege on Gaza and its aggression across the region.

Following the successful strike on SCARLET RAY, Yemeni military officials vowed to intensify operations against Israeli shipping routes and even targets within occupied Palestine. The Red Sea has now become a volatile flashpoint, with global shipping lanes under threat.

The targeting of Israeli vessels threatens global energy and trade routes, drawing in wider international concerns. Israel, backed by U.S. naval deployments in the region, risks further escalation if it retaliates militarily against Yemen. This could ignite a broader regional conflict, linking the struggles in Gaza with Yemen’s anti-blockade operations.

Palestinian resistance groups welcomed Yemen’s action as a powerful show of solidarity. Yemeni officials declared that such operations will not cease until Israel halts its aggression and lifts the siege on Gaza. Western governments, meanwhile, are expected to condemn the attack as a threat to international trade security, while regional allies of Palestine may frame it as a legitimate act of resistance.

The strike on SCARLET RAY marks another milestone in Yemen’s expanding campaign against Israeli-linked maritime interests. With vows of continued operations and a refusal to back down until Gaza’s blockade ends, the Red Sea is set to remain a battleground, raising the stakes for Israel, its allies, and the global shipping industry.
